Sunday Mornings

Sunday Morning at 10

Kid's spotChurch meets in the Harrington Park Public School assembly hall (see map) which is transformed each week into a place of sharing and hearing God’s Word, socialising, great music and terrific morning teas.

The entire church family meet together for the first 15 minutes then break to have a quick ‘cuppa’ and chat. This is the time when the younger children go to Kids Church.

0-3 year olds, known as the Jelly Babies are lovingly cared for by a team of both male and female leaders. They play, have a snack, hear a simple Bible Lesson with a related craft activity. There are songs, games and toys to keep them happily engaged until the parents collect them at the end of the service.

4 year olds – our Jelly Beans Group are kept busy with songs, stories, craft and games based around a Biblical Theme.

Children in Grades K-5 head off to Kids Church. The children break into age appropriate groups with their own leaders who provide them with interesting and challenging music, stories, talks, craft and activities based on the Bible.

Year 6 to 8 students stay in church until the sermon and then head out for a bible study with their leader.

Worship TeamMusic is provided by a pool of talented musicians and singers ably coordinated by Mel Gillies. Worship in song is warmly embraced by the congregation.

The heart of the service is the preaching from the Bible by one of the ordained ministers, Jono Squire,  Gavin Oram or Ben Pakula. The sermons are recorded and available for some time afterwards on this website.

The Lord’s Supper (Communion) is celebrated once each month in remembrance of Jesus’ death on the cross where He paid the debt for the sin of the people He created and loves deeply.

The service concludes with a bountiful morning tea, served country-style. After a drink and something to eat, the children have time to play together in a safe and open environment while the adults chat.
