45 women gathered in the Oran Park Meeting Room for a High Tea on Saturday 3rd November 2012.
Ladies were invited to bring a tea cup that had special significance to them and share the story of their cup. Small prizes were awarded for the oldest, smallest, largest and most unusual tea cup. What a wonderful range of cups were on show!
Delightful and dainty treats were provided by ladies of the church and consumed with great relish. During the course of the evening a great many facts were learned about the history and uses of tea.
A talk was given on the theme of ’my (tea)cup runneth over’.
Funds raised on the night went to the charity, Christmas Child. The evening seemed such a success that it is anticipated that it will be run again in 2013.
